The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA will be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed about the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly here because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The support position made for intervention ordeals a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to empower the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
